PRICING GUIDE FOR YOUR TRANSLATION
How do we calculate your translation cost?
Our translation quotes are based on factors such as:
Amount of words: Our English, Spanish and Portuguese Translations are charged based on the number of words in the source text. Proofreading and Copyediting are charged based on the number of words in the document to be proofread or edited. You will always know how much we will charge for the translation job in advance. If your document is scanned and we cannot count the words electronically (e.g. a Birth Certificate), we will price the job based on the number of pages of the source document.
Complexity of the subject matter: The level of complexity of each document is important when determining a rate for your translation. For example, a general text costs less than a technical translation.
Deadline: We are usually able to translate about 1300-2000 words per day and proofread about 2000-4000 per day. Extra time will be needed if your translation project requires DTP services. We work closely with our clients and Translators to make sure that translations are delivered within a reasonable time frame. Prices for urgent translations are usually 30% above the normal rates.
Source and Target Language: A source language refers to the language being translated from and the target language is the language being translated to. For example, if your document is in English and you need a Portuguese Translation, then the source language is English and target language is Portuguese. Our translation fees for Portuguese and Spanish Translations are lower than for English Translations.
